About Us

Paula O’Reilly
I became a midwife in 2006, and always had a passion for infant feeding. Having held NHS roles as a specialist midwife and an Infant Feeding Coordinator for over 10 years I have supported hundreds of families in their journeys, providing professional care and treating parents and babies with compassion and understanding.
My main areas of expertise include babies who have been born early or are small, weight loss or slow weight gain, tongue tie, low milk supply and breastfeeding after a difficult birth experience.
I have been an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) since 2012, and a tongue tie practitioner since 2017, and have provided care for all manner of challenges and situations. I have also spent time as a Lecturer in Midwifery, and still teach on a sessional basis, contributing to students’ learning about infant feeding to prepare them to be skilled midwives.
My approach is always individualised, evidence-based, and respectful. I believe in taking time, listening closely, and making sure you feel confident during every step of the process.

Laura Thomas
During my midwifery training, I developed a passion for infant feeding, dedicating countless hours to supporting families – an experience that laid the foundation for my practice when I qualified as midwife in 2011. As a mother of three daughters, I’ve personally experienced the profound bond that breastfeeding fosters between mother and baby. I began my journey as a Specialist Infant Feeding Midwife six years ago. During this time, I also completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Education, which has enhanced my ability to teach and support both colleagues and mothers effectively.
My expertise has developed from listening to each mother’s unique pregnancy, labour and birth story, and adapting my practice to meet their individual needs and expectations with a non-judgmental and compassionate approach. I manage a range of infant feeding challenges on a daily basis, including latching problems, formula feeding problems, low milk supply, slow or faltering growth and colic and reflux. I am a competent and efficient tongue-tie practitioner and regularly run a clinic as part of my role as an NHS midwife. I am continually striving to develop my practice, and after months of study I have recently gained my IBCLC qualification.
